its raw material, is a special kind of plastic which has been reinforced with fiberglass, similar to the way that rebar strengthens concrete. Horizontal FRP tank is a perfect choice when you are in need for storage tank but have a vertical height limitation. By using filament winding method, the material of horizontal FRP tank can be reinforced to adjust its physicochemical ability and meet different requirements.
Horizontal FRP tanks, also known as horizontal FRP vessels or horizontal GRP tanks, are a kind of horizontally placed FRP tanks having cambers at both ends and saddles in the middle part.
The wall thickness of horizontal FRP tanks is 30% - 40% higher than that of vertical FRP tanks. Filament cross winding is adopted for tank shell fabrication, thereby offering a higher shear strength. In places where saddle supports are placed, partially reinforced shall be provided in the radius direction. Horizontal FRP tanks are applicable to be placed indoors with height restrictions or on the top of buildings due to their lower height, simple operation, and stable gravity center.
